Its about time for me to let my fans and the public know how things are going for me and the band (Jam City Revue) we had a busy scheldue all year playing concerts and gigs ( no fishing gigs)   We played our first T-Bone Walker Blues Festival on june 17, 2006 in Linden, Texas at the Texas Music  City.  I opened the show because like T-Bone, I am a native son of Cass County.  I must have showed all the way out, crawling around on the floor while singing Howling Wolf's Killing Floor.  Yes, I made the linden News Paper among photo's of national Folk and Blues artist, Keb Mo, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Ms. Betty Lewis, Ms. Dee Dee Williams and others. Marshall, Texas was well represented with Bobbie Mercy Oliver and his band Jam City Revue and The Diddley Squat Band, see you there next year. We played for the Water-Melon Festival in Hope, Arkansas,  August 12, 2006, for the fourth year, hired back for next year ; Way To Go.  We had a show with the legendary Candy Licker himself, ( Marvin Sease), Ms. Betty Lewis on Sept. 2, 2006 in Tyler, Texas for the Valley Blues Production Company.   We played  Setember 23 for the annual Sabine Valley Mental Health Blues Hawaii Fest in Longview, Texas.  This would have been our fourth year if we had not been rained out and canceled last year, oh, yeah, hired again for next year.  I will be taking my band to Helena, Arkansas on October 6, 2006 for the second time, hopefully we'll win this year.  We did a Campaign Rally in Longview, Texas at Maude Cobb Center on September 9, 2006, money is money so don't sneer and as long as its green,cash, money order, check or money gram we can spend it.  I debuted my new Cd, "Simply Bobbie" on May 4, 2006 at The Coffee Cup in Linden, Texas.  I'll be sure and keep you posted.  Bobbie Mercy Oliver
